  1. I live pretty close to The Huntington Gardens but don't go very often. I think I need to convince hubby to take me...

  4. As the song says, "It was a very good year!" :-)

I didn't realize Sooke Harbour House was located in such a lovely spot. Next time we are on the island we will have to go there.

Hope your coming year is as lovely as the last!

  11. Thanks to all for stopping by and taking time to comment!

Fern, There's much to see that's new at the Huntington these past few years. I do love it there, and wish I were able to visit more often.

Deb, I've been fortunate to have visited the public spaces, formal landscapes, display gardens, hotels & even some restaurants with kitchen gardens that appear here on Bay Area Tendrils!
However, I have thousands of slides that have not yet been converted to digital images, so once in a while I use photos that a garden provides.

I do appreciate all your kind words :~))

  15. Happy New Year Alice,

Please ship me all those stone features shown asap!!!

I just clicked the Alcatraz piece on your side bar. I saw the gardens featured in the Jan issue of Gardens Illustrated. A tour would be wonderful, they look superb.

  16. Hello Alice,

The Huntington is one of my favorite gardens, but I have not had a chance to see the new Chinese Garden. I hear it is fabulous. I look forward to your 2010 garden travels.
