Our Christmas holiday this year...
....encompassed a getaway to Sonoma & Napa Wine Country: Courtyard water feature at the Sonoma Valley Inn.
On this restful sojourn we savored meals at fabulous restaurants and discovered great wines.
Fabulous weather, too, as the rainy season seems temporarily suspended, with blue skies and brilliant sunshine.
Hazy, however, as wood burning fireplaces contribute polluting particles, leading to 'Spare the Air' days.

Dear Alice, You've got me dreaming of fabulous days in the Napa Valley. Well, I can dream can't I? P. x
ReplyDeleteLOVE those containers!! What fun. Shame they didn't switch out the fabrics on the cushions though.
ReplyDeleteI also have very happy memories of trips to Napa and Sonoma. My favorite is a boutique winery near St. Helena called Alpha Omega. Fabulous wines, wonderful setting and non pretentious (a rarity).
What a pretty vignette.
ReplyDeleteYes, this makes me long for another trip west. We visited Napa and Sonoma during a college tours trip a few years back. Beautiful section of the U.S.! Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteAlice, I'll be missing out on Napa and Sonoma this coming April. We're sticking to the east coast this time around. However, my wife's niece is holding her wedding in Napa this coming September. I hope our work schedules allow us to go.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fabulous holiday trip!! Happy New Year Alice!
