I'm unfamiliar with L. ciliata but a red form sounds striking.

Catharine
As one dotty for Bay Area Tendrilshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02559534912850380427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2503383579285260292.post-7120339908510551802010-08-18T22:13:34.283-07:002010-08-18T22:13:34.283-07:00I'm glad to see your intractable plant finally...I'm glad to see your intractable plant finally coming around. With such an intense memory of when you first saw it, it must be a special joy to see it finally bloom. My Pacific Northwest cousin has started a garden blog, and Verdure features a look at Little & Lewis' latest garden, still in progress. Theirs is a striking, mystical and more than a little surreal take on gardens and lostlandscape (James)http://soenyun.com/Blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2503383579285260292.post-8244841861729663842010-08-12T01:12:02.087-07:002010-08-12T01:12:02.087-07:00Dear AA I have spent a good many a year ripping th...Dear AA I have spent a good many a year ripping the LP out but now you show a pic of a lovely variagated form. I have their book and love everything they have ever made, along with millions of others! We have the red leaf form of this plant, L. ciliata. It is somewhat invasive, but we need that trait in our very dry, at times space. Alexander would be welcome here. I will look for him. :-)
FrancesFranceshttp://fairegarden.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2503383579285260292.post-89938036754330813462010-08-11T13:00:58.442-07:002010-08-11T13:00:58.442-07:00Wow, Alice! They're amazing plants, but can take a ton of space and even more water! Great fantastical imagery for the day to transport me out of the gloomy summer.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07938196559124125578noreply@blogger.com
