Joyful blue tones! Beautiful photos Alice! Lovely!! Carol
ReplyDeleteWhat a splendid hue to ring in the New Year! Damned meconopsis haunted me all year last.... so this is the year that it comes to Teza's Garden. I hope it [2010] is a long and prosperous garden adventure for you.... looking forward to many new and exciting virtual vacations this year! Come to think of it, ready for one right about now!
ReplyDeleteTa,
MMMM! Blue is my favourite garden colour, I think. Next to green, of course. These are gorgeous (and I can grow Meconopsis, though not Hibiscus, isn't that fun?)
ReplyDeleteI love the shades of blues that you are featuring here. What a great way to start the year. Happy New Year 2010!
ReplyDeleteHi Alice
ReplyDeleteI wish you a wonderful 2010
All quite beautiful blues Alice :)
ReplyDeleteGrand collection of blues Alice. and they say blue is seldom seen in the garden...ha!
ReplyDeleteI've got the blues now, but in a good way.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful and various shades of blue! Here's to more blogging in 2010, and wishing you a Happy New Year! Thank you for your lovely blog.
ReplyDeleteThose blues are out of control!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite blues is Salvia sinaloensis - have you ever used it, Alice? It has small leaves that are kissed with dark reddish/purple, and is prostrate - a great front of the border plant.
That Tibouchina (heterophylla?) is so glorious! I've wanted to plant one forever, but I'm pretty much at capacity... I may have to figure out a way to seize my neighbor's property so I can continue this lifelong foray into excessive plant love!
Thanks for all the beauty this year, dearest Tendril! XOXO!
Mmmm, yummy eye-candy, Alice! Have you been acquainted with Blue Pimpernell yet? A lovely groundcover that will give you a case of the blues...
ReplyDeleteAm I blue? Am I blue? See these tears in my eyes telling you... Blue must have some magical connection to the human brain. Each of these lovely flowers triggered its own little mind explosion. Happy New Year, Alice. Carry on carrying on. We love travelling (pardon my Canadian Ls) with you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors! I do hope I'll see that poppy for real one day this year.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely. I have a weakness for blue and you've captured these beautifully. (Found you via Twitter)
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about blue that people love? (I also do, but am not sure why I favour it over other colours!)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful collection of blue & great shots Alice! I especially love the Princess Flower & wish I could grow it in the NW!!!
ReplyDeleteI've always liked blue in flowers. I grow just one blue flower, a balloon flower. It's not one of those hybrids which stays in its balloon shape (because I really want them to open)! :-) Nice pix.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blue shades! The blue poppy and the tibouchina are most spectacular!!
ReplyDeleteI love blue flowers, they are soothing! Happy New Year to you, I wish you all the best this year. I had a friend who was ocd about her blue garden, I can see why now!
ReplyDeleteBlue glorious blue! I like the garden - the rope balls add a nice tactile touch.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see blue poppies I think of Jodi. There is something about blogging that triggers the memories I tell you. Blue is a lovely warm color that sure brightens these frigid days.
