And on the road... where late-summer gardens are buzzing with the effects of ornamental and native grasses!
Oh I love ornamental grasses. Our front yard is xeriscaped and has 4 huge clumps of grasses, which don't need watering.
ReplyDeleteThese shots remind me I really need to invest in a macro lens for the old camera.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of ornamental grasses. I probably don't grow many of the kinds seen in California (I wish!) but the inflorescences are so interesting in autumn, I can't help planting more. As addictions go, it's pretty harmless;)

They are so gorgeous indeed.
ReplyDeleteHey Terra, Christine.. Tina,
ReplyDeleteWhat would we do / where would we be... without ornamental grasses in our garden plans!
Alice, the grasses are beautiful this time of year. I love the photographs of the beautiful plumes in lovely shades of creams and reds. I think I'm falling in love with fall all over again.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I must admit... the oranmental grasses are one of the elements I love best in my Summer gardens. Yours are dreamy. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Alice. I am a novice at growing ornamental grasses and always admire the ones I see at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens. Your images are a reminder. "Dreamy", as another commenter has said.
