Moroccan blue sets this front garden apart.
Lovely sights! Inspirational. I'm still getting used to the weather patterns up here in the Northwest, learning about plants and animals and how we can all live harmoniously.
ReplyDeleteI love the Japanese-inspired gate. I wonder how that would go with my red-tile-roof stucco house. Hmmm, probably not so good. ;)
ReplyDeleteAlice I always get inspired by your blog....more please.. love your eye for detail
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays
cheers Ian
Hey all,
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by and Happy Holidays to you and your various gardenscapes!
These photos all look so warm and inviting. Here all gateways are encrusted with snow and boughs are bent with it's weight. I'm sitting at the computer with walking boots on to keep my toes warm, and a big acrylic furry coat on!
ReplyDeletePhoenix,
ReplyDeleteEven here I bundle up my feet when I'm at the computer. Something about the chill of winter, even with central heating:~]
so pretty! Unfortunately, my style currently is "chain-link". But a girl can dream...
ReplyDeleteAlice, those are very beautiful fences and entrances, and your photos of course, are always awesome. I can put a lot more varieties in those fences, haha!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the stroll. I love the architecture of garden gates and the intrigue of where they might lead.
ReplyDeleteThis is only serving to remind me that 2011 will be the year of some serious editing in my garden. We are eclectic from the curb, but not by Californian standards. It is really hard to settle on something, but I will still stand by my saying that, "Our house just happens to be in our garden." Maybe that hasn't been working for me though...
ReplyDeletehi alice, i lurve moroccan blue...hope you have a really wonderful christmas, we are off soon to aracachon to be with our french family..take care now...
ReplyDeleteWonderful post! My garden gate is a semibroken wooden gate that leads into a colorful cottage garden. Have you ever been to Charleston, SC? The wrought iron gates there are so beautiful! Spring would be a fabulous time to visit.
ReplyDeleteA lovely architectural journey. Have a happy Christmas
ReplyDeleteMy garden style is quite natural. Beautiful blog. Thanks
